JOB SUMMARY: 

The Gary SouthShore RailCats are looking for an energetic, self-motivated and creative individual to join our team in the Food and Beverage Department. This position is also responsible for ensuring that exceptional customer service is provided, alcoholic beverages are served safely and food quality and sanitation standards are always maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Oversee all aspects of the stadium concession stands
  • Assist with the establishment and enforcement of food and beverage policies
  • Hold team accountable to deliver superior guest service
  • Ensure all concession stands are set up properly
  • Understand all menus, product offerings, packaging and pricing
  • Assist as needed with all food and beverage operations within the stadium
  • Assist in the execution of food and beverage for non-baseball events held at the stadium
  • Contribute to the sales team by hitting defined sales goals
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a hospitality related field or sports entertainment industry
  • Experience in the hospitality, event management or facility management fields
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management team, guests and team members
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment and prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work extended shifts including evenings, weekends and select holidays during the season
  • Must be able to reach, lift, stoop, bend and perform extensive standing walking (including stairs) throughout the shift
